Short Courses 2015-2016
UAL commissioned The Design Laboratory to design and manage the production of the Central Saint Martins’ short courses campaign, for both print and digital, in 2015-2016.
The concept emphasises on the limitless combinations of courses - and the idea of removing boundaries between disciplines.
Designing, art directing and managing all photography and image production, the full campaign was built within the university using materials, studios and resources available to students.
The Design Laboratory also extended the visual campaign through digital and online.
Short Courses 2016-2017
UAL returned to The Design Laboratory the following year to design and manage the production of the Central Saint Martins’ short courses campaign, for both print and digital, in 2015-2016.
Focussing on the wide breadth of courses and options available, the use of full spectrum gradient with a minimal and considered, playful layout design brought their campaign to life.
The Design Laboratory also created a Snapchat Geo-Filter, allowing students and patrons of the university to customise and share their visual experiences through a branded gradient filter.
Dual City Courses
Dual City is the UAL short course study abroad program. Travel, experience and learn is the ethos of the Dual City programme proposed by UAL: Central Saint Martins.
Students enrol on a Dual City course and travel to two global design cities while completing an intensive academic programme at Central Saint Martins in London, and one of their renowned partner colleges in five other unique capitals.
The Design Laboratory was commissioned to develop a series of brochures and leaflets that would capture the creative uniqueness of this program.
Limited Edition Postcards

Chosen works are edited and re-formatted as postcards by The Design Laboratory each year (since 2015) to be distributed across the UAL’s important contacts. The custom packaging is designed by The Design Laboratory and each year the fastening colour changes according to the UAL colour palette.
